Nursing Staff
Nurses
We have 3 Practice Nurses who have clinics at both the main and branch surgeries. They provide appointments for the management of chronic diseases, such as asthma and diabetes. They carry our cervical smears, swabs, ECGs, and lung function testing. They also carry out vaccinations for travel, influenza and childhood vaccinations. |
Healthcare Assistants
We have 2 Healthcare Assistance (HCA) who carry out health checks at both surgeries. They also do phlebotomy (blood) clinics at the surgery and visit the patients at home if they are housebound. |
Practice Team
Practice Management
We have a practice administrator who deals with the overall running of the practice, a team of senior administrative staff who are responsible for the day-to-day running of the appointments and clinics and secretaries who are responsible for correspondence and referrals. |
Reception
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits. |
